I am an amature film maker. Do you have any advice for easy make-up do's and don't's?

I'd honestly have to say hire a professional. Don't try to do it yourself or have the actors try to do it, UNLESS they know what they're doing. There are certain techniques and tricks that are applied using the proper colors and tools - that's what makes the difference. The actors just look a little fresher, a little cleaner and they're eyes will pop more on camera. HOWEVER, you also have to know how to blend and know when to not apply too much. Especially with HD television now......yikes....you can see everything. Once I get some free time, I am going to start posting tips. You'll find some really helpful advice in there. Soon!
